About the CRL

The Chronobiology Laboratory (CBL) leader provided the first molecular evidence for the existence of a molecular clock underlying an embryonic process. Subsequently, her research group demonstrated that temporal control exerted by cyclic gene expression is a widespread mechanism in vertebrate embryonic development. Overall, the aim of the CBL unit is to understand temporal and spatial integration of molecular clocks during development.
