Patrícia Madureira, CBMR researcher, was invited to be the guest editor of the special issue “The Shaping of Cancer by the Tumour Microenvironment and its Relevance for Cancer Therapy”, from Cancers Journal, an open access journal, with Impact Factor 6.162, supported by an international editorial board consisting of a distinguished team of cancer researchers from major institutes around the world.
As the Guest Editor of the special issue, the CBMR researcher will invite her peers to contribute an original research or review article that will improve the understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which cancer cells adapt to their microenvironment and the relevance of these findings to cancer therapy (e.g., identification of novel cancer markers and therapeutic targets).

Patrícia Madureira, investigadora do CBMR, foi convidada a ser editora da revista científica Cancers, no número especial “The Shaping of Cancer by the Tumour Microenvironment and its Relevance for Cancer Therapy”. A revista Cancers trata-se de uma revista de acesso aberto, com fator de impacto de 6.162, sendo apoiada científicamente por um comité editorial composto por uma equipa de conceituados investigadores provenientes dos maiores centros de investigação do mundo.

Como editora especial deste número a investigadora do CBMR convidará os seus pares a propor investigações originais ou revisões de artigos que potenciarão o entendimento dos mecanismos celulares e moleculares através dos quais as células cancerígenas se adaptam ao seu microambiente e à relevância dessas descobertas para a terapia do cancro (ex. identificação de novos marcadores cancerígenos e alvos terapêuticos).
